Ti-Black Finish Stainless Steel Sheet
Ti-black finish on stainless steel sheet has two different processes: water plating and electroplating. Water plating is carried out in a chemical electrolyte. Through the accumulation of anions and cations under the action of electric charges, the electrolytic ions with black color gather on the surface of the stainless steel plate, thereby forming the color of black titanium. Electroplating is to form a dense oxide film through the reduction reaction between metal ions in a vacuum plating environment, thereby forming the color of black titanium. The color of water plating is darker than that of electroplating, and the adsorption force of particles on the surface of electroplating is stronger. There is no difference in the use of the plates of the two processes, and both have good reflective effects.

Applications
for Brushed Finish Stainless Steel Sheet
Brushed finish becomes one of the most popular choices for
fabricators by providing a modern appearance, durability, scratch and corrosion
resistance, and ease of maintenance.
Architectural Applications: Due to smooth appearance, brushed
stainless steel sheets are often used for handrails and balustrades, interior
and exterior cladding, columns and pillars.
Kitchen Appliances: Many kitchen appliances as
refrigerators, ovens, and dishwashers, sinks and faucets, feature a hairline
finish for a modern and sophisticated appearance.
Furniture and Lighting: Brushed finish stainless
steel panels can be used for furniture designs, including tables, chairs,
cabinet handles and drawers to add a contemporary finish. Stainless steel
lighting fixtures often incorporate a brushed finish for a sleek appearance.
Elevator Interiors: The brushed finish can be
easily integrated into various design styles, suitable for commercial and
residential elevators. Scratch resistance and hygienic properties make hairline
finish stainless steel panel as a durable and long-lasting material suitable
for a high-traffic areas.
Medical Equipment: Hairline stainless steel
sheets can be used for medical equipment, furniture, and fixtures in healthcare
setting due to clean and corrosion resistant properties. Grade 304 and 316
stainless steel are frequently used in medical facilities due to their
excellent corrosion resistance and compliance with industry standards.
Signage Applications: Brushed stainless steel
sheets are chosen for indoor and outdoor signage due to its resistance to
corrosion and weathering. And it’s flexible to be cut into different sizes to meet
the requirement, it can be made into building signage, directional signs,
informational signs, and more.
Other Applications: Apart from that, brushed
finish stainless steel sheets can be used in automotive applications, consumer
electronics, etc.

Options for Brushed Finish Stainless Steel Sheet
304
Stainless Steel Sheet
Type
304 stainless steel sheet is easy to be fabricated through welding, bending,
and stamping due to high strength, and it can be special used in humidity or
high temperature situations due to waterproof and fireproof characteristics. It
is in standard specifications, making it more durable.
316
Stainless Steel Sheet
Type 316 stainless steel sheet also belongs to the 300 series of stainless steels except 304. It keeps same characteristics with 304 stainless steel. Due to high corrosion resistance and versatility, it can be the first choice for marine and coastal applications, chemical and petrochemical industries, food and beverage industry, pharmaceutical industry, etc.
FAQ
(frequently asked questions)
1- How to Choose a Suitable
Protective Film for Brushed Finish Stainless Steel Sheets?
The
main purpose of the protective film is to protect the surface during handling,
transportation, and fabrication. There are different adhesive type films to
meet different fabrication, low-tack adhesive is easy to be removed without
leaving adhesive residue on the brushed finish. High-tack adhesive is needed
for added protection. Apart from that, there are various thickness for
protective films, such 3C, 5C, 7C, etc. You can add 2-layer films as
requirement. In summary, before selecting a suitable film, testing a small
sample on a brushed stainless steel sheet to evaluate compatibility, adhesion,
and removal properties is necessary.
2- What Is the Difference
Between Brushed Finish and Satin Finish for Stainless Steel Sheets?
Both brushed finish and satin finish are
popularly used for stainless steel sheets or panels. They generally impart a
smooth and non-reflective appearance. We can distinguish through appearance,
process, and applications.
Satin Finish: It shows a soft, smooth,
low to medium gloss, and even performance. It is a consistent texture through
sanding or polishing treatment. And satin finish is commonly used in kitchen
appliances, sinks, architectural elements, and decorative purposes.
Brushed Finish: It shows visible linear or
brushing lines on the surface, and achieves the brushed finish through abrasive
belts. Brushed finish is used in industrial, architectural, and decorative
applications.
3- Is There Any Difference
Between Brushed Finish and Hairline Finish Stainless Steel Sheets?
These two finishes are used
interchangeably, but they have slightly different surface finishes on stainless
steel sheets. The hairline finish shows finer and more delicate than brushed
finish on texture, and provides a subtle, refined appearance compared to
brushed finish. The hairline finish is often used in high-end architectural
designs, interior decoration, and a more subtle texture required.
4- Brushed VS Satin Finish
Stainless Steel Sheets
Brushed finish gets some similarities as
satin finish, but they also have distinct characteristics. Today we will talk
about them from process, texture, and appearance.
Process: Brushed finish is achieved by brushes
or abrasive materials. It shows parallel lines or grooves on the surface. Satin
finish is achieved through sanding process to get a smooth, even and
semi-reflective surface with a low level of gloss.
Texture: Brushed finish surface is with visible
linear patterns, normally in vertical direction. Instead of linear patterns,
satin finish surface shows a consistent, non-directional texture that diffuses
light.
Appearance: Brushed finish stainless steel sheets
have a more subdued appearance, which can hide scratches and wear better. However,
satin finish stainless steel sheets offer a softer and more elegant appearance.
5- What’s the Best Delivery Time? And How is
Packing?
Regularly
we can dispatch the material in one week, but some sheets required deep
processing will take around 7-15 days accordingly. We suggest in full container
loading (FCL). PVC films are optional for different finishes required, standard
waterproof paper and wooden package is necessary.
